Industrial Model. Replaced condenser and coil for starters. Point gap is set to .024. Fellow who owns tractor pulled carb to clean it and battery(6V) to charge. Now no spark. Tractor ran fine before carb servicing. (I think carb was pulled/cleaned and fuel tank drained for winter storage)
Should a voltage reading from (+) terminal on coil to block read (-) 6V? Don't have manual so I'm a little unsure as to whats to check besides wire connections/condition. (Check polarity?)

Thanks any help appreciated!!

Ray

The negative terminal on the coil should read -6V when the key is on. What voltage you see on the positive terminal depends whether the points are open or closed. -6V with the points open, 0V when the points are closed.

Note that if the coil is hooked up properly, the positive coil terminal is connected to the distributor.
