I know this shouldn't be this hard. I have a Ford 4000, at least thats what the sticker on the side says. Here are the numbers off the housing.

7A6B C5 NN 7006-A8 FoMoCo P-M-V 401
And the number off the engine is C5NN 6015
Could some please confirm what model Ford this is?
Thanks..
Greg

Your engine block number matches the sleeveless block I bought to replace the cracked block in my 861D. I think they went sleeveless about the time they switching from the 801's to the 4000's

Sorry I was looking at the wrong numbers.
I went to the tractor and the Model number is 41024C This is a Ford 4000, Agriculture, Gas with Independent PTO and an 8 speed transmission.
The date code is 7F21, which mean it was built on June 21, 1967.
I guess next time I should RTFM.

Greg.

The Oaktree site gives me some good information on my 1970 Ford 4000, serial #C290935, model #D1414C. But I have a question about the model #..

D -> 4000 14 -> ???? mystery chassis 1 -> diesel 4 -> independent PTO 540 C -> 8spd manual

The listing of chassis type doesn't include a 14 .. any ideas or pointers to more data? I do have manuals on the way, but they're not here yet :(

Thanks for any info!
Greg

No this site does not help..
I looked at this site and can not find any way to decifer the numbers on the tractor. C5 could be a 3000? What does the NN refer to?
I understand the production code..
Its a it was made Day shift January 6th 1967.
7A6B.

Now what about the C5 NN 7006-A8(B)
