I'm looking at a 71 3-cylinder 3000, starts & runs good, 2nd owner. 2200 hours on clock. Plan to use it for bush-hog & cleanup on my 8 acre hillside farmette.

Tires good, everthing works.

Is this a good tractor or does it have a bad "history"?

How's $4600 sound.

Thanks!

out

Good tractor..... ..but, 8 speed is best. Diesel is even better, and with a live PTO and power steering, never had it so good ! My $.02

I've brush hogged quite a bit with a 68 and a 72 3000 and have owned three 3400's (industrial version of 3000). In my opinion they are pretty good tractors. They can be a little cold natured and sleeved cylinders would be nice, but all in all they are strong runners with very few headaches. In my part of the country the price you stated is reasonable. And if the hour meter is accurate, those are pretty low hours for a 71. Good luck.
