I have a Ford 3000 built in Antwerp Belgium serial no. A 129-xxx = built in Antwerp Belgium unit no. 6B28B = 1966 Feb.28 Day shift model no. C086 = ????
Can anyone tell me what the model number means,I
assume the C stands for 3000, but what would the 086 stand for? Any help on this or any information on these Belgium built Fords would be
greatly appreciated.I have been to the oaktree site as well as many others but most of the information is for the american built Fords. Thankyou, Benjamin.

Mr. Benjamin, I don't believe the C086 is a model number; you should find a model number something like 31013B;

1st Digit:'65 - '67: 2= 2000, 3= 3000, 4 =4000 etc
----- ----'68 on: B = 200, C= 3000, D= 4000 etc.

2nd two digits:- 10 straddle mount agricultural
----- ----- ---- 20 row crop, flat deck
----- ----- ---- 40 Utility, light industrial
----- ----- ---- 50 Industrial

3rd digit:- 1 diesel ----- ---- 2 gasoline

4th digit: 2 manual shift PTO
----- --- 3 Double clutch PTO
----- --- 4 indepentent PTO
----- --- 5 indepentent 2 spd pto

5th digit(letter): B= 6 speed, C= 8 speed, E = 10 speed, F= 4 speed power reversing.
----- - not a complete list - ----- --

Model should be stamped on top transmission just behind the starter above the implement mounting pad or same place on LH side. It also should have been stamped on the aluminum decal plate under the hood above the battery.

In spite of assembly in Antwerp, it has essentially the same power train as one assemble in the US. Differences are inset headlamps, full skirt or flat top fenders, wider step plates, different wiring harness for turn signals, hi-lo beam headlamps.

Thankyou for your help,
I found the previous three numbers on the right hand side just above the emplement mounting pad.
On the left hand side same area there is the number C 7004 ,does this mean anything to you? Benjamin.

Benjamin- I have 1965 Ford 3000 built in Basildon, U.K. It has a kind of toggle switch and a button on the left side of the dash under the ignition key. I was told that the switch was a signal indicator and the button, a horn. Also, a hand brake was on the left side but missing on my tractor.

Do you have a similar type dash?

Brian,
Mine has the same dash.
Toggle switch was missing but the horn button is there although the horn itself is not.
Mine does not have a handbrake and doesnt look like it ever did,as far as I can tell.
thankyou for responding,
Benjamin.

I also have an Antwerp 3000. The numbers are A122458, M455, 5M440. It is diesel, 4x4, "BAAS" FEL, 8 speed-double clutch, pto, no power steering (am adding PS), 2500 hrs. I am currently repainting the chassis, and it was once red. You will find very little(read: no)information on these particular models. If you do find a source of info on these belgium beauties let me know. The blessing is that a 3000 is a 3000. The FNH manuals will help you when it is time to maintain it. I ordered operators and shop manuals. I am curious which fenders and lights yours has and how original it is. If I can be of any help email me. Mine seems to be a high quality well built tractor. It is tons beefier than any of the new ones.

It appears that although Antwerp Belgium made tractors since 1965, the numbering system did not follow the other plants until 1984. I can find no Ford NH model interpretations or serial number history until 1984.
