I am not familiar with changing the hydraulic oil and transmission oil on my newly purchased 2000. Is the trans oil and hydraulic oil the same or are there different reservoirs for each? Which plugs do I pull to drain? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I just changed the fluids in my 4000 last weekend. It took about 11 gallons of 134 to change the transmission and hydralic/rear end. Also, you need to find out where the level screws are so you don't put too much oil in. Check with your Ford/New Holland dealer. Be careful because if you take out the wrong screw it may be holding something together inside, which means you have to split the tractor to fix it. $$$$$$

The reservoirs on the trans and the rear end / hydraulics are seperate. You have to drain them seperately. About 12 qts. each (not sure) use #134 in both.
