My 63 4000 Ind. has two springs on the throttle linkage. I know one goes to the bottom of the battery box from the friction plate, but where does the other hook? The 2 springs look the same. I was wondering if it might have used it for a foot throttle at some time. Do I need the second spring?

Thanks, Grant

Hi Grant, Yes your tractor had a foot throttle at one and that is what the extra spring is for , and no you do not need it unless you get the foot throttle working again . Thanks Tony Jacobs
