my last oil change i used 40 wt oil (why, cause my dad dropped off 2 1/2 gallons) no my oil pressure seems to be awful low. Problem is i can recall if the pressure was that low before.

Could the type of oil cause low pressure - or could it be something else. I know that the pressure used to be real good.

I have seen bad filters make oil pressure low.
it should not be lower than it was before you changed the oil 40 wt would make the pressure higher. You could have a stopped up suction screen or a hole in the pickup tube and the oil pressure would be lower than normal.

If anything 40wt. should give you higher oil pressure if you were using a lighter weight before. I suspicion the 40wt didn't change anything and your oil pressure was low before. Or maybe the oil gauge is line blocked or the gauge is bad? My $.02
