Just got it running smooth, but when I turn it off the gas drips out of the air intake side of the carb unless I turn the gas off. What do I need to fix this?
Thanks

Check the float for liquid inside. then check the float level and then check the needle valve. A piece of debris may be between the needle and seat. First try turning off the gas and running until cuts off. Then turn on gas and see if it still leaks. Sometimes this washes dirt from between the needle and seat.

Had the exact same problem. The fix turned out to be a factory rebuilt caborator for $99. This carb was identical to the original one.

The problem is a stuck/ bad/ leaking float or needle valve. A gas filter in the line will prevent trash from getting into the bowl. If you have one in place already, then you can pretty well count on the pieces being worn out or corroded.

Thanks much...was thinking on a new carb if the inside view looks bad... was finish mowing today and after about an hour I had to choke it a little to smooth it out.
