I have a 70's Ford that has a constant gas leak on the carb -- is that a design flaw or just a bad carb? Any ideas on where i can get parts?

Hi Alex, Assuming the carb casting is not porous or broken the only source for your leak is the float needle/seat. Leaking is almost always caused by a small bit of rust, sand, etc. which prevents the valve from closing fully. In a perfect world this would never happen, but they did put fuel shut-off valves on these tractors didnt't they....Al English
