I have an 861D that has had the adapter plate installed to the lift cover to add on a remote connection point for a hydraulic cylinder. The aluminum plate that the hydraulic lines hook to has about 5 or 6 small (1/2") O-rings and 1 large (1") O-ring. The large O-ring seals a hole in the lift cover that has a screwdriver slotted adjustment of some sort in it. Hydraulic fluid was leaking from under the aluminum plate so I took it off and found the large O-ring to be deformed. I replaced the O-ring and reinstalled the aluminum plate. When I started the tractor it began leaking again so I took the aluminum plate off and found the large O-ring to be deformed again. What's going on here? Is there suction in the large opening and it's sucking the O-ring into the hole? Help!

My advice not knowing what you have specifically is a general statement about the o-rings used in that cover/accessory plate area. Generic O-Rings do not work well there. There is tremendous pressure in that area and the square shoulder O-Rings from FNH are the best deal. Replace them everytime you take that thing off with original FNH parts on this one. A complete set is $10-$15 and worth every penny of it. That is what I have learned the hard way. LOL
