I have a 660 with a front loader (front pump)and I have a 800lb weight on the rear 3 point(side pump). After an hour or so the 3pt starts to sag a bit and I have to adjust the control arm to bring it back up. After several of attempts it starts to get sluggish and I suspect from the fluid getting hot as if the pump was always working. My question is, should the 3pt be able to stay up forever or is the pump always working to keep it up? If it should stay up, what might the problem be? Thanks

Any number of problems, from dirty oil/ water in oil, to worn (side) pump to the cam problem. Most likely a tired pump.

If this is the only problem you have with it, put a chain from the 3-point link to the bottom of the weight to hold it up (like many finish mowers use instead of front casters), put the lever down, and have fun. Deal with the pump when you need to for other uses.
