Just rebuilt the piston seals which helped the implement droping when the engine is turned off. Still drops in about an hour with heavy implement. The hitch still bobs with engine running. Is it possible to rebuild the control valve? My manual talks about trying different valve spools in the bushing to get proper fit.Are the parts availiable or a rebuilt unit?

I would worry more about bobing than drop, why keep implement up if not using? Safety issue here needs to be addressed, apparently you are expecting it to hold just to be holding? Sounds like you want to fix somethine which is not broke.

If replacing the piston seal did not fix it, and your sure the seal did not get ripped or torn when placing the piston back in, then you need to check the ball type check valve. This spring loaded ball valve allows lifting oil into the cylinder but not back out. It is located at a plug on the front edge of the lift cover. You will probily need to remove the lift cover to be able to see into the bore to inspect the seat parts for cracks. If it needs replaced you will need a special puller tool to do it.

I suppose the spool fit could also cause the problem but would be unlikely. Anyway control valve spools are availible but a dealer is not going to order several in so you can test their fit. They are expensive. The lift cylinder is supposed to have a spot of paint on it. The color of the paint determines what part # you are supposed to order. But I don't think a new control spool will fit any different as the one in there now which should be for that size range/color mark.
