Jubilee blue hydraulic pump?

Hi
My 53 Jubilee has a later piston type hydraulic pump which is blue. Does this mean it is off a much later tractor? Will the capacity be too high, if so does that matter? It seems to work fine but does bump a few times a minute with a heavy load like a bush hog on the 3PH. With a heavy load raised it sometimes makes a squealing noise from the rear of the tractor, do I have trouble on the way?

The squeal is your 3 point relief valve. You're either trying to lift to much, or your relief valve is weak.

The bush hog I'm using belongs to my neighbor, its a Howse 5' medium or heavy duty, its pretty heavy. Would that be too much for my Jube? The front end is very light with the hog raised.

could be. I'm not sure where the pressure relief is set on a jubilee.

Nothing to worry about, the original vane pump just happened to last until the blue tractors were out after 1962 then parts became blue after the old red stock was all, the vane pumps wore out quickly from overheating if a 3 bottom plow or a loader was used, the NAA piston pump had smaller pistons so it did noy have the volume that a 800 pump had.
