i have been trying to get the leatehr backup washer on my hydrolic piston wit hno luck, first one soaked in oil for a day snap, nd one boiled in water then wet with oil no luck snap, ZANE any good ideas or tricks, i bought your jig but have not gotten that far thanks

I used a little vasoline and it slid right on.

I use the split teflon backup that is supplied for 3 cylinder 2000 and 3000 series tractors. It is a direct replacement and easier to use, probably better, too.

I'd try going on right after pulling it out of the hot water. Has always worked for me.
