I have an older model 5000 that i want to put an engine block heater in, but the places where the freeze plugs are have a large Allen head plug in them. Do these plugs thread in or do they knock out somehow? Thanks Greg

Greg, the block is threaded and the plug screws in. As I recall it is about a 1" or 7/8" Allen wrench. If it will not loosen, try heating the plug and let it cool before trying again, which should yield success.
Good luck.
Jim.
