Need help on getting air out of my lift system. Backed tractor in a ditch and stood it up. When I pulled it out the lift would not operate. Been told it has air in the system, but don't know how to bleed the air out. The tractor is a select-to-matic transmission it that helps?

Mike, When you remove the allen screw, turn the engine over without cranking. If diesel, pull the stop, if gas remove the coil wire. While cranking, when you see no more bubbles in the fluid tighten the screw. If you stop cranking air will get back into the system. If you do this with the engine running you probably won't be able to tighten the screw because of the pressure.

There is an allen head pipe thread plug in the hydraulic pump, it is toward the bottom of the rear section, remove the plug start the tractor at idle but have it ready to put back in or shut the tractor off quick when oil comes out the hole.
