I just realized that my left rear wheel has a bad wobble in and out. I started to pull the retaining clip and large nut but thought I would wait and ask if anyone has any tips or procedure that would help me out. I have received much help from people out there and I try to help whenever I can. Thanks , Don (Mi)

Don: I would first do as you are suggesting. I would remove the clip, get a real big wrench like Tim Allen might demonstrate, and see if the nut is just loose. It does happen. If tighteneing the nut doesn't help, the hub and/or axle is worn and will ultimately need to be replaced or you will always have oily brakes as I do. axle nut is listed as 450 ft/lb torque- a BIG wrench if you weigh 165 like me.

It sounds like the axle and hub is wore.Jack up trans take nut off pull wheel and hub. There is 6 bolts on axle housing. Take them out the brake asy will come off end, then you can pull axle out.
