Help! The rear left plug has developed a pin hole leak. Can this be fixed without pulling the engine apart? If so it would be a shame because I can get right to this area with no problems without moving a thing. I have seen after-market replacements for older cars that don't have to be installed from the inside out, so what about my tractor? I can't seem to find any plugs specific to my 640. Would I use an auto replacement the same size? or does anyone know where else I can look? Thanks to all ... what a great site!

Jed,if you live in cold country, you might also look into getting a freeze plug heater,I've seen them on e-bay for about 10-15 bucks.Fits in place of the usual plug.might also be a FNH part, you never know.

I don't see a problem with replacing from the outside. Obviously drain the coolant, and make a clean extraction of the old one.
