FIX IT NOW. We just fixed one that I bought @ auction (bad trans was written on the hood). There were 5 gears with missing teeth, dealer price gears $1000, I had extra trans & extra set of gears, but we still had to rebuild complete trans. I talked to mechanic friend he said your problem likely showed up first & previous owner contiued to use it until everything locked up breaking teeth off 2 gears, with broken teeth catching in other gears and causing more damage. Hope this helps. P.S. trans repairs are not much if you catch it now. BURT.
