Well its home! 1973 2000 w/p.s. I want to put a front loader on. I know where there is a complete setup(bucket, arms, rams, hoses) from a late model Deere 520. Will this work? how does all this attach to a Ford? I guess my real question is do I have to stick with a Ford set-up? thanks- Drew

I'm pleased with the 6' Woods loader on my Ford 3000. Check out their model 1020 on the website (under agriculture/loaders/17-70 hp tractors).

No, you don't have to buy a Ford loader. You should buy a loader that was designed to fit your Ford, or at least a similar style tractor. A loader designed to fit a 520 will not adapt easily or cheaply to a 2000. I would keep looking, as a loader designed for your 2000 is easy to find. You should look for a loader with a crankshaft-driven hydraulic pump and separate, dedicated hydraulic system. The 2000's camshaft driven pump will not flow enough oil to satisfy most operators.

Thanks for both responses. I will contact a local Wood's dealer for price and availability. I wonder if a used one ever shows up? At least now I know what to look for. Thanks again-
