3000 Ford Question

I was blading some snow the other day with my uncle's 3000 Ford dsl. Every time I would pull or push the snow the tractor would end up spinning one wheel. I would tap the brakes to make the other wheel kick in to help push/pull.

I have used other tractors with differential locks which are good for something like this.

Is there a kit to add a differentail lock to this tractor?? Or is there something that I can do to lock the rear end up to help get traction with out tapping on the brakes? Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks

Differential lock was an option. I have a 1979 3600 diesel that doesn't have it. It is real easy to get used to a tractor with the lock and then get on the 3600 and have to go back to using the brakes.

My 3000 has a differential lock. Check on the back of the right foot rest. If you see a foot pedal, that is the lock. This was, I believe, a standard feature.

I had a '65 3000 no diff lock. Now I have a '74 4000su that has it. I my thinking is correct--diff lock was an option. Don't know if it can be added. I imagine it probably can be, just depends on how much work you want to do.

i have a 1965 3000 dsl. which has the rear lock pedal, it should be where michael indicated by the heel of your right foot rest.It may depend on what year your tractor is. Between 64 and 65 ford made design changes on the 3000 it may be in a different location.

Differential lock was not standard at least in in 1974. Mine does not have it. I have to use the brake.
