Looking at a Ford 7000 with a ford loader. Overall very nice. 5000 hours, newer paint, straight. Loader is very slow, needs tires. Price seems a bit high to me at $8500

I am not familiar with the Ford 7000 -- are they good tractors? What is a fair price?

hours are a little high.. but still ok.. i would offer 7500 cash or walk.. loader should be a heavy duty loader and well mounted to the tractor and not cracked .. check trans for sloppy shifting, wornout clutch, and front end steering for lots of slop and play... usually loader tractors have lots of wear on reverse and 2nd gear... and can have bent up sheet metal if used in a heavy duty application.. the weight of the loader puts more wear on the front end as well.. good luck .. bill

7000's are good tractors. Like them (as long as not select o speeds). Like 7600-7710's better (newer versions of the same). You can get one of these for that or less. If you need a loader another 2000-3000 will put you in a decent new one. For that kind of $$ tractor and loader would have to be cream puff.

as a rule of thumb, a good loaders adds $3000 to the value of a tractor...
