I have a 73 2000 series and was convinced my oil leak was coming from the pump mounting gasket. Local dealer charge me 5$ for 1 gasket-wish I knew more people like Tom. All back together today- leak is coming from front of pump- out of pressed in bushing arrangement. It looks liker there is a small roll pin holding this together. Can anyone shed lite on how this is sealed, and if repair is possible without removing pump? Thanks for your time...

The roll pin retains the shaft that carries the intermediate pump drive gear. There is an o-ring on the shaft that prevents the leak that you have. The o-ring is old, hard, flatsided, and or cracked. The pump must be removed to pull the shaft. Don't misplace the thrust washers. The shaft is drilled and tapped 1/4"-28 so you can thread a bolt in the end to pull the shaft after removing the rollpin.

Thank you for the reply. I kinda figured as much- the real battle is with the oil line- someone rounded it off, and it is really in there. Just for ha-ha's, I gooped up the shaft in the front, and now the leak is coming out of the roll pin!!! Just my luck-
