Ford 901 or Case 730?

I went to an auction the other day and bought two tractors. A Case 730 LP 4 speed and a Ford 901 LP select-o-speed. I bought them both at a good price, but since I only have 10 acres I probably only need one. What I'm trying to decide is which one to keep. They both run really good. Both have a PTO and 3 point. The only thing I know wrong with either of them is the Ford's 10th gear is out and the brakes don't work very well on the Case.

I thought I would get a compression gauge and check both tractors. Does anybody know what the compression should be for either the 730 or 901?

Does anybody know how much it would cost to convert the 901 to a manual transmission?

Used transmissions get about $900 for a four speed at a salvage. I think the LP system is somewhat of a collectors item as is the SOS. You may get deep in your pockets with the SOS repair though. I'd keep the Ford but brakes are easy to repair.
