Ford 730 Loader? Maybe!

I went to look at a Ford loader yesterday. The fellow believes it is a model 730. It looks like a 730 but can't find the number anywhere on it. The serial number tag doesn't seem to indicate "Model" but has a "Component" # 19-259. It is on a 640 now and I plan to put it on my 4000SU. I believe that if it really is a 730 it should fit the 4000, but if it is something else then maybe I would have a clearance problem; specifically, with the hood fitting between the side rails of the loader. Can anyone advise me? How can I tell if it is really a 730? Thanks for helping, Bill

The Ford loader on my 3000 dsl, which also "looks like" a 730, has component #19-529 printed on that plate. The loader fits ok.

The hood fits a tad snug in those side rails. It could use another couple of inches for opening the hinged access door. But the door does operate properly if you go about it carefully.

best wishes.

Hi Bill; Go to Ebay and search item 2533344974. This is a Ford 701 Loader located at Uniontown, PA. Supposedly removed from a Ford 4600SU. HTH
