Can anyone advise me any info on the 340 Ford skid-steer loader? Weight, lifting capacity,hp, etc. Also looking for a manual on same. Thank you...

Randy, The model 340 was the first Ford branded skid steer loader and I believe it was manufactured by a company called Ericson in one of the north central states. I've lost track of them. Maybe someone closer knows if they still exist independently or inside another company through some aquisition.

It's the only skid steer loader I've ever seen that did not use a variable hydrostatic drive to each side. It used a constant displacement pump and motor for each drive with a simple 4-way control valve for drive and reversing. It was tricky to drive but the simplicity might be an advantage in an older, used unit. I'm going to guess at the lift capacity: 1200 Lbs.
