I recently got a Dearborn 14-37 3-pt 7' sickle bar. I got it installed on our Golden Jubilee but after reading some posts, I am a little worried. First, I haven't been able to find any info on this model. I got the right fender mount bracket and the top-link mount bracket. However, I did not recieve any extensions for the lift arms. I couldn't get any photos of these to load so I don't know what they look like to see if the person who sold me the mower has them. I think they just used it without the extensions. I have mowed a little without them to see if the mower worked and haven't noticed any problems. Is it possible to use the mower without the extensions or am I going to break something. Does anyone know where I could get a set of original ones? I also need a new belt for it, does anyone know the original size that was on it? Also on a side note, has anyone seen an original PTO extension for sale. It was for use with the swinging draw bar and made the pto work on non-ford implements. Mine is out of commision. I can post pictures if helpful.

There are extensions sometimes on EBAY or you can buy 4 lift arm knuckles and weld a 8" bar between 2 of them, without them the pto may be at too much of an angle or come apart, the belt is still available from your local New-Holland dealer but you need to know the size of the pulleys or measure the old belt because a different size pulley could be used for a faster or slower cutterbar speed.

I have one of those mowers and am thinkin of painting it white and using it for a lawn ornament. I bought one out of the local paper for 175 bucks and thought it being a 3 point implement, I would be able to hook it up to my 960 and just start mowing..... .....Wrong. I then found an old manual for it on e-bay and can see by the pictures that I not only need the mounts, I need the extensions, and an adaptor for the toplink. Not real sure about the toplink adaptor.

I have not found the extensions anywhere, but I have no plans to go any further with this mower and have just chalked it up to a bad deal. I really didn't want to rebuild the backend of my tractor everytime I changed implements anyways. Right now I have my eye on a Massey unit that is supposed to fit right up and I have a guarantee on that.. Bad news is they want 450 bucks, but I am having a hard time finding a decent one and a new one is out of the question.

As far as the extension is concerned, you should be able to find them everywhere, there are converters and live PTO extensions and are under 100 bucks if I understand you correctly.

BTW, the Dearborn mower I have is a model 14-73 if I read it right and it can be had real cheap.

Just wanted to say that the mower is indeed a 14-73 and I got it to work without the lift arm extensions just a new belt. Also, I am interested in any cheap ones available for spare parts as long as it isn't too far from PA.
