Anybody have an opinion on a Ford 5000(1964 model). It is coming up on an auction and has a Dual loader. Any ideas on price would also be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I was going by the auction sale bill on the year so I appreciate the heads up. I plan to use the tractor for light farm work since I only live on 7 acres.
One other quick question. Do you have any recommendations for critical things to look for that may not be obvious?
Thanks in advance.

Bern's right on the years as usual. My Dad has a 66 5000 with a 320 Dual loader and it works very well and is very stable since it is the short all purpose model. Can't help with the price since dad bought it years ago and the gas engine was well broke in, smile. If your not going to try to move mountains with it and just use it for general farm use like cleaning livestock yards and moving some dirt and snow it works real well. Greg NE

If it's a 5000, it would have to be at least a 1965 model. 5000s were built between 1965 and 1975. Might wish to find out for sure what year it is first. Newer versions (1968 and up) are preferable.
