It's so wet in the western part on N.J. I had to put on my snow chains on the lawn tractor so I could cut the grass. How about your area?

Everything brown here in north Texas. I am not sure we got any measureable rain in July and none to speak of so far in August. Send us some!!

SHARE with Kansas PLEASE!

I sure wish the moisture would even out across this grand ol' country.

We are so dry that the grass has needed little mowing all summer. Many of the crops are past tense, i.e. they are no longer crops for their intended purpose. I thought the drought was supposed to have broken. Guess not.

I'm a firm believer in safety. When I fire up the 8N to go bush hogging here in TN, I wear a life jacket.

Took day of from work yesterday to work outside. Went out at 8, got half way across yard to shop, turned around, went back inside and logged into work. After the frog-strangler finished I checked the rain gauge - 3" - probably 2" of that in one hour. Can't dig a hole without it filling up with water. 360* turnaround from last summer. I am once again having to ration water - this time because the septic system can't take any more than absolutely necessary. Saturated red clay can't take any more water.

We just completed the wettest July on record here in Northeast Ohio! 12.51 inches of rain for the month. We baled hay but can't get the round bales in without trashing the hay fields. On the bright side, my lawn care business is having an outstanding season! No slowdown at all, due to the dry weather conditions that we have during a "normal" summer. Don

Cows are wearing water wings here in VA. We've had more rain this year than the last three years combined.

I don't have any problems in southwest central PA, my garden tractor floats, of course if it didn't I'd have a problem. A day without rain is . . . . I know, something I haven't seen for a while.

It's rained every day for the last week. Not constant, just waves of afternoon thunder storms. One farm got none today, another 8 miles away an inch. Total at each place about 4" since Sat. Had about 30 days of good weather from mid June to Mid July. This way before and since.

Al, Here inh central WA, we've had three days of hard driving rain. Probably totaled less than a quarter inch. Still more than the total since mid April. ATW/WA

It has been hot and dry in the south of NM not far from the Rio Grande. Supposed to be monsoon season here as they call it.

Blame it on the jet stream.

The 3 yr drought her in S. central PA broke with 2.5 foot snow storm in Feb. It rains here every afternoon and the humidity is so high that all the doors & windows have swollen open or shut. The lawn looks like it's May rather than August and the fields grow and seem to need mowing every other week. Made round bales 2 weeks ago and the field is ready to go again if it would dry out a little. It is nasty outside but can't really complain after the last 3 year dry spell.
