Just thinking...does anyone know if a 600, 800, or 2000 rear section, either from the cluch back or the transmission back will bolt up to a '54 NAA engine. I have a '54 that I've put a lot of money into everything from the clutch forward but was thinking...if I have to put a couple thousand into the transmission and rear end why not go with something later so I will have a better transmission, hydraulics, pto and rear end. Comments from the experts? Thanks to all of you, I wouldn't have gotten this far without you.

53 and 54 are different than the others due in part to the external hydrualic lines. Just learned this lesson replacing a broken rear housing on a 54 NAA. Also had to pay $750 for the housing.

from 1955-mid 1958 the housings were the same length, never tried to see if a NAA front is compatible.
