I have a 1958 821-D. I know the element you mean. Unfortunately, I don't know where to get them. I have read here that you can fabricate one out of one of those stainless steel kitchen scrubbers. You can search the archives for the post.
By the way, do you know how to get the bottom off the air cleaner without spilling the oil everywhere? I can just barely squeeze it between the cleaner body and whatever is below, and I alway drop half the oil.

If your air filter is in good shape and your not doing heavy dirt work. Another words mild dust. Then you don't need the oil in it. The purpose of the oil is to catch the real heavy dirt. A kitchen vent-a-hood filter is better than the orginal factory filter.
Put a good filter at the top of the air cleaner pipe and save your oil.
I am trying to get the tractor back to orginal factory condition.
thanks

Bob, I think you have that backwards. The fine dirt will not even slow down on its way to the engine unless the oil is there to catch it
