Change motors and rear-ends

I have two Ford 3000 diesels. One is a 3400 and have a heavy duty front-end, new tires and a very good motor, but has a single-stage clutch, ratchet on the power take off, and power steering.

The other is a 3000 with a duel- stage clutch and no power steering.

I am considering splitting both tractors at the motor and transmission, connecting the 3400 motor and front end on the 3000 transmission with the duel-stage clutch.

And then connecting the 3000 motor and front-end with the 3400 transmission.

Does anyone see a problem with this. I think it will work

It'll work. Pay attention to the differences as you take them apart. You even haveto change clutch pedals, things like that. It's been several years for me. I changed all of the way to the rear end. I even had to use a chopsaw to shorten the coupling in the driveshaft.
