Originality question re: Ford 681

I have a 1959-60 Ford 681 tractor that my dad bought new. All the tractors of this vintage that I see use a metal pipe between the air cleaner and the carburetor, with a short piece of rubber hose top and bottom used as couplings for the pipe. My tractor has one long 18-20" piece of rubber hose. It is a molded hose, the same shape as the common metal pipe. I have always believed it to be original, as Dad would have had no reason to change it, but beginning to wonder, as I never see others. Can anyone offer a knowledgeable opinion as to its authenticity?

My parts info indicates a 311112 pipe with two short hoses for 134 gas engines starting 1/1/58.

Since you asked for an opinion here's mine. I have a 1961 Ford 671 since 1966. I guess it is original and it has a metal pipe from the carb. to the air cleaner.

The hose is standard for the 600 series and the metal pipe for the 800 series- relax it sounds original.
