I have a '76 2600 3cyl gas with a Zentih carb that's giving me fits. I've cleaned it and built it to no avail and have about had it. Can anyone out there help me with these questions: 1st, I only see carbs available for 75 and down 3cyl gas thousand series, not for 76 and not for 2600s or up. Will these carbs I see listed for the 2,3 and 4000s fit my '76 2600, or do I have something a little unique? 2nd, is this Zenith on the 3cyl gas a replacement carb, and are they known for problems? I've got a lot of time and $TLC$ tied up in making this 2600 real nice and it replaced my beloved 640, so any helpful advice is greatly appreciated.

I can't help with some of the questions, but you should be able to get the carb. working. The float has a very close tolerance, and has to be shaped so it can move up and down. Find someone to help you with it. You don't won't to buy a new one. alvinnms

Thanks Alvin,
I have adjusted the float a few times, but will check it again. It seems to starve for fuel regardless of what I do, so I need to investigate the fuel pump as well before buying a new carb.
