Lift Arms Height

On my Ford 601, how high above the ground should the ends of the lifting arms be? They are about 15 inches now. When I hook up a 5 foot shredder, I have to "lift" the front of the shredder a little bit to connect it to the arms. This is in Position control with the quadrant lever all the way down. Thanks albe

I don't know if 15" is normal for the tractor, but the lift arms on my 1710 drag the ground. The arms on some lifts attach to splines on the shaft. These arms can be removed and replaced on different splines to change how far down the arms go. Of course, rotating arms further down also means they won't lift as high. There probably is a manual procedure for correct assembly of the rocker shaft and arms as well as any linkage adjustment required, and it might be good to check a manual.
