I have a '74 gas 3000. It's not for sale because I love it! seriously, mine has been dead reliable for me. But it's like a used car, it's only as good as the previous owner treated it.
Good luck.

They are as good and reliable as a 30 year old piece of man made machinery can be depending on how it has been used and maintained.

Al, I have a 73' 3000 with an 8 speed tranny also. Have had great luck with it. I've always heard to avoid a Select-O-Speed transmission though. Good Luck, Festus

I have a 3000 gasoline with 8 speed transmission. I am very pleased with it. You should check out Oak's site for details about the thousand series Ford tractors.

Al; I have a 8 speed 1973 Ford 3000 with a loader on it for sale. It has been a great tractor, I just need a bigger tractor with 4 wheel drive, now. I am in Idaho, where are you? Randy
