I have a problem... The tractor is a 1967 UK Ford 3000 with Live PTO. I'd just finished topping my field, and was reversing the topper into its parking place, when the clutch suddenly refused to disengage. Fortunately I only had the muck-heap behind me, so no consequential damage was done in the time it took me to figure out what was happening and stop the engine. The clutch action feels normal, and the Live PTO part of the clutch is working OK, but the drive part of the clutch is permanently engaged. Before I split the tractor, has anyone any idea what may have happened here ?

Just in case anyone was curious... One of the lugs on the Intermediate Pressure Plate had broken off, along with 4 of the 6 Lever Links. Now fixed by fitting a replacement clutch, but it wasn't cheap :-(

Since this happened while you were using it, I'd rule out a disc rusted to the flywheel, which is the usual cause of a complaint with a title like yours. In your case, I'd strongly suspect a broken linkage part on the pressure plate itself, which is quite common with lots of hours of use. Figure on splitting the tractor and rebuilding the pressure plate. Also figure on doing the adjustments in a special jig, since it's tough to do accurately without.

Thanks, Bern. I assumed I'd end up having to split the tractor, but I thought I'd better check with the group first, just in case it was something simple - which, unfortunately, it isn't...
