I am wanting any info about a New Holland 7308, 98 model- 4wd -hydro- loader - diesel. Are there any really bad things about this tractor to watch for.The one I am going to look at has 380hr on it. The owner died and his widow wants to sell it,so I'm thinking there should not be anything wrong with it.I am more informed on MF and Kubotas. Thanks for any info.

I am a New Holland Dealer, the 7308 is the loader model#. It is by far the easiest of the New Holland loaders to take off the machine. No matter which tractor it is on, they all have very good service records. If the machine has a hydrostatic transmission (foot control), make sure that the trans filters have been replaced regularly. If they haven't, it really isn't that big of a deal. Change all the fluids, and it will run like a top!

The 7308 fits 1320 1520 1530 1620 1630 1720 1725 1920 1925 TC25 TC25D TC29 TC29D TC30 TC30D. I work part time for a guy with a 1720 with a 7108 Loader, I cannot remember ever running a finer tractor ( in all my years in the suburbs! )

Really, it's a SWEETHEART

Never heard of a 7308 model tractor. Sounds like you are quoting the model of the front end loader.

I didn't preview my post. Yes it is a 7308 loader on a 30hp tractor. Again I'm assuming it is a TC30. Are the TC30 a good machine?

Bill is correct, the 7308 loader fit on many tractors. I have a 1998 model 1630 with HST and a 7308 loader. You need to go over the tractor and get the full model number, serial number, what transmission it has, and other details and then post back and we can help you. There were also deluxe models (which I bought) with folding ROPS, crank adjustable right hand lower lift arm, adjustable deluxe sliding stabilizer bars, and other things. No need for me to go into all that until we find out what you are looking at.

The TC30 wasn't introduced till '01. 7308 loaders fit over a dozen tractor models. Better go have another look.
