My 3600 gas engine has been sitting inside for 6 months and now it won,t start. It does have gas and ran fine when I PARKED IT.I DON,T THINK it,s getting spark.I CHECKED at 2 of the spark plugs and from the wires, nothing.I also took the coil wire loose and put it close to ground, nothing there either.I AM gettin voltage from the ignition to the coil.I changed the coil, but no help .Also last year I changed point plugs, condensor and I had it running after that.Any advice? thanks

Check to see if you have a voltage at the points and condenser terminal inside the distributer, sometimes after sitting awhile the connection will get some slight build-up and cause a resistence at this connection and will not allow the points to function. You can also check with the ignition switch on, by arching the points across with a screwdriver and watch your coil wire to see if you have an arc to ground, if you do, this would indicate a bad surface on the points and would require a good clean up of the point surfaces and regapping. You did check to see if the supply wire to the dist was not broken or Gnawed through by mice, this does happen with a stored unit. Good Luck and keep us posted. Walter
