I have a jubilee it runs great,but...When i hit a rut or bump the tractor will run rough and miss.

I had/have the same problem. I asked my local New Holland dealer about it and he said it was probably sediment in the carb float bowl kicking up when the tractor hits rough ground. Sure enough, I drained the carb (a fair amount of sediment came out) and the tractor ran fine. However, I suspect the problem may return because everytime I turn on the fuel valve before starting the tractor, there is a small stream of rust or what-have-you that drops into the sediment bowl. As an alternative to buying a new gas tank ($$$), I plan to clean the sediment bowl prior to every start plus keep the fuel tank as full of gas as possible (along with a water absorbing lead-substitute additive). I also heard there is a product you can put into the gas tank (with the gas drained) to coat the inside and stop rust flaking.

I would look for the items that shaking could effect. Maybe the floats rubbing or the bowls not full of gas and a bump messes the float up. A loose wire at the distributer or switch. maybe still garbage in the fuel tank.
