I want to thank Jim UT and Jakej for the recommendation and kind words. My NAA was the very first tractor to recieve a Jackson Power Steering unit. So, Bill, I do have a steering unit that will fit your tractor. I have had many requests regarding steering for the 550 Oliver, however, I haven't been able to get one here, at my facility to convert. My dream is to get my hands on an 550 Oliver and have the time to design a steering unit for it! Converting tractors and equipment over to power steering is sort of an evolving process for me. I do my best work when I can take my time to develop the mounting components so the steering unit will be easy to install with no major modification to the tractor or equipment. This year has been very busy one for Jackson Power Steering. We have added several new models to our product line..such as the John Deere 850 and the International 330. Also, we have built a number of steering units by remote...so to speak. Several tractor owners wanted steering on their tractors, however, bringing the tractor to my facility wasn't feasible. So they emailed me pictures and sent the measurements I requested. One fellow sent me his tractor's steering gear box, which worked out perfectly! Using the remote method....so to speak....I have built steering units for a Cockshutt, two models of internationals, and a John Deere using the hydrostatic type of steering. I also built steering units for two A/C and one Oliver tractor using the torque generator type of steering. That type of steering would not work on the 550. This weekend, a fellow will be hauling his Ford Major to my facility. I am excited that I am getting to design a steering unit for that model of tractor. He is allowing me plenty of time, so I will be able to do my best work on it. Also, I am building steering units for older equipment.....road building equipment, construction and hay handling equipment. I have even been ask to build a steering unit for a race car, however, I respectively declined as I want to focus on tractors and industrial equipment. I hope that I have answered your questions. In short, I am waiting to find a 550 that can visit my facility for a short while for a power steering retro-fit. I would love to visit with you if you have more questions.
