I have a Ford Industrial Loader (pieces - not sure of the model but very similar to 730,735,etc.) that came with my recently purchased Ford 3000. I am missing the bucket (tilt) cylinders and bucket. I have looked for similar replacement cylinders at booth Northern Tools and Surplus Center - Surplus Center comes real close to an exact match with the exception of the base end size. The orig (I looked at another loader) is 30" retracted and 20" stroke - the base end needs to be no more than 2" - the outside clevis end of the Surplus Center cyls is 2.62" - the only thing I can think of is to maybe straddle the base on loader frame....one ear inside and the other outside and use a spacer to keep from moving - would that work?? Look like crap?? Any suggestions??

Thanks to everyone for the responses....I called Surplus Center and sure enough they were able to find me a replacement that will work - 2 for about $300 including shipping - I don't think that I could do better than that - it will be interesting to see how much it will cost to rebuild the "lift" cylinders if necessary.

Thanks again everyone!!! Great Forum.

Also, ASC has lots of cylinders.

On the same thought. Had a JD with a loader and the loader had 4 hookup points; 2 hard points (on the lift arms) and the two cylinder rams. Was almost impossible to connect alone.

Tore up one cylinder one day and decided I wasn't going to pay the $350 JD wanted for a new one. Took the remaining one and relocated at the center of the loader with fabricated mounting brackets . Painted it up nice and green and it didn't look bad at all. Amazing how much easier I could attach it.

HTH.
