I am working on a 4000 industrial (4cyl gas) with the single cylinder power steering system. I am looking for a steering valve for the above tractor and have not been able to find one yet. Does any one have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Alan

Do you have a 1960-1962 4040 with the valve built into the cylinder and cables to control or do you have a 1962-1965 4140 with tubes and hoses going from the gearbox to the cylinder?

We have the 62-65 with the valve ontop of the steering gearbox and hoses running forward to the steering cylinder. Not the earlier one with the cable operated system.

Do you need the valve block in the column or the relief valve in the pump?

I need the valve block in the column that is directly under the steering wheel. I think I should also mention that this is one of the single cylinder steering systems so there should only be 4 hoses going into or out of the vaalve block.

Thanks,
Alan
