Loader Control Valve

I recently bought a 3600 ford and included was a 730 loader frame (no cylinders or bucket). The original control valve was gone but they also included a new control valve in box. It is labeled Gresen SP-4-4 HP 1500 . The valve has a "in"port on one side, 2 "A"ports, 2 "B"ports, and an "out"port. My thoughts were to use the tractor hydraulics (manifold on lift cover). I assume that the connections will be straight-forward, "in" from the manifold, "A" ports to lift "DA" lift cylinders, "B" ports to tilt cylinders, and "out" to manifold. Does this sound correct?? Can anyone explain the valve description??
Also reasonable cost of a 5' bucket new/used??

Thanks

Not entirely correct. Connect the A port of one spool to one side of the lift cylinders and the B port of the same spool to the other side of those cylinder. Do the same with the second spool for the tilt cylinders. You will also need to have a power beyond on the valve in order for your 3 pt to work.

Thanks George and Joe.....

Joe - I was planning on using a manifold on the lift cover (no remote spools)for hydraulic power. Are you saying that the 3PH will not work with this valve because it does not have a PB valve?? What if I am not using the Loader??

It depends on which manifold it is and on the valve. Some manifold are diverter types which you have to shift between valves. The one I have is for putting a power beyond type valve in series with the lift. Some valves will work even if they are not power beyond. It depends on their internal design. The lift will probably work but you might have problems with the valve funtions.

Course, yours would have only two valves, not the three like in the picture. I don't know which one is the IN (P) port, or which one is the OUT (T)port. But, this is how your cylinders would be hook up. I don't know if this valve is a open center valve or a closed center valve. I would think, being the Ford 3600 has a open system, you would want a valve with a open center. Maybe someone elce can enlighten us on this.
