I don"t know what the correct term for the plate that goes around the pto shaft is, but...my dad purchased a 641 and three/four bolts around this area were twisted off. Also, there is no plate for the three-point arm chains to attach. Dad doesn"t know if there would have just been the diamond shape plate or a larger plate w/slot for a straight drawbar. Tractor is a "59 model, I think??? Can anyone offer help? Thanks in advance.

Go to the tractor parts on this website. Browse the catalog for Ford three point hitch parts. You will find what you need there.

Thanks for the replies. Dad has drilled and gotten the bolts out. One of the four was on the right running board support. He is wondering if the tractor had the check chain bracket or the unit for the straight drawbar. I have looked at three manuals and some of the 641"s appear to have had the straight drawbar and some just the check chain bracket and a horizontal drawbar (toolbar). Nice looking 860.

Whatever it _had_, if I needed to bother buying something, I sure would spend money on a useful swinging drawbar, why bother buying just a plate...

Do you have the bracket under the tranny to anchor the swinging drawbar?

My "58 861 has a swinging drawbar and the mounting bracket for it has a square hole in it that fits around the housing for the PTO shaft. The square hole is rotated 45* so it looks like a diamond. The chains for the 3 point arms attach to this bracket.

If the heads of the attaching bolts have been twisted off and the bolt shanks are still threaded in the holes then it sounds like you have a little work to do with a drill and an EZ Out.

I"m assuming that you don"t mean the 4 bolts that hold the PTO retainer are the ones that are twisted off.

This is my 860 with a drawbar setup, the large rear hanger takes the place of the small check chain brackets. If the bolts are broken off you will need to either drill and tap or easy out them so you can reinstall the brackets, if the tractors rear end is actually broken at this point there are ways to repair it, post back and let us know, also if you can post a photo of what yo are working with that would be nice also.
