I recently bought a Ford 1210 that did not run and found the head was cracked. I bought a used head from a tractor supply in Alabama that pressure tested to be good. I had the head magnafluxed and found that it had a small surface crack in the same location my head was cracked into the water jacket. The machine shop recommended that I take the heads to R.E.V. Head Service in Kingdom City, MO and have them repaired. I had both heads repaired and have run the original head, which was cracked badly, for 20 hours with no problem.

The head I bought was on a Shibrua tractor and will bolt up to the 1210 engine however the fuel injectors are different. The head casting number is N831. According to a factory parts list, there were 3 head castings for this engine that were used on several models of Ford & Shibrua tractors.

Can anyone tell me what tractors the N831 head was used on or where to find that info?
