Hi Does anybody know if the SOS trans was an option on Super Dextas ? Is Super Dexta a sort of 3000 tractor an a Dexta 2000 tractor ?
Thanks !

SOS was not an option on Dextas or Super Dextas. Some or all Super Dextas sold in the US also carried 2000 decals. This was confusing because they are a different animal from the US built 4 cylinder 2000's and later three cylinder 2000's. All Dextas and Super Dextas were built in Dagenham England. Production ended in late 1964.

I have a '65-'75 2000-7000 manual, Genuine NH/Ford. It is printed in England and covers all American, English, and Belgium made models. It refers to Dexta and Super Dexta as the 2000 and 3000 models, interchangeably.

I have a similar manual and no explanation of why it says that. Dextas and Super Dextas are different tractors than the 2000 built in Highland Park Michigan, and did not offer SelectoSpeed. 3000 production started in 1965, after the end of Super Dexta production in Great Britain.

Rick,
Ford 2000 3 cyl 1965 had a side hood decal Dexta,
Ford 3000 3 cyl 1965 had a decal Super Dexta,
Ford 4000 3 cyl 1965 had a decal Major,
Ford 5000 4 cyl 1965 had a decal Super Major;
But of course all these tractors had nothing in common with the previous Dexta, Super Dexta, Major and Super Major

"But of course all these tractors had nothing in common with the previous Dexta, Super Dexta, Major and Super Major".
Thanks. That was exactly my point; decals and manuals aside.

Thanks for the info
I was seekin for a front end loader for my `71 3000 and a guy rang and said he had a 67 super dexta whit SOS and loader.
I have compared old dexta loaders whit 3000 loders before and the dexta seams to have different measurements.
