I recently purchased a 1963 Ford 6000 at an auction. I need info on it.
At the present I need a wiring diagram. What ignition switch did they use and was a push button switch used for starting.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Bill

Bill, I've got the owners, maintenance, parts, & (I think) an I&T manual for the 6000. If you need copies of any or all of them let me know and I can get them reproduced and bound reasonably. It will be Sunday night before I can get home to reply again. John

They started with a start position on the key switch--the push button was the manifold heater-- I"ll bet a guy named Phillip will be on here soon he has some real good books-are you gonna use the tractor?restore it? ever been around one before? I"ve had mine for long time and I realy like it for what I use it for---I don"t make a livin with it

I purchased in the DEAD row at a consignment auction. I never have been around them except for the 871-D and 971-D that I have.
This one caught my eye. It looks to be about 99% complete and has not been abused.
I got it home today and installed a hot battery and spun it over by jumping the starter and it fired up! All the gears seem okay other than being jerky.
It dosent have a key switch and only one push button which I am sure that is for the heaters.
I has an altenator on it.
The hydraulic isn't working, but I noticed that it is low on fluid. I will be adding oil to see if that helps. No brakes either!
Right now my intentions are on restoring it.
Thanks for your reply.
Bill
