I'm working on my newly aquired Ford 4000SU, 3 cylinder, 1970 model. Doing all the maintenance stuff before I start using it. I'm having the rear rims sandblasted early this week and will want to get paint on them ASAP. Buying paint from a F/NH dealer is not an option (none close), so can someone please help me with paint colors? I need Ford blue and grey, 1970 vintage. Are there paint code numbers that the auto paint stores can use to mix me the correct color paint?? Your help will be greatly appreciated as I want to order this paint tomorrow. I've got to get the wheels back on so I can do some work with the new (old) Ford. Thanks for helping, Bill

Bill, Most FNH dealers would be glad to ship you paint. I just got some myself last week. here's the part numbers. Gray M20J1750SE2DS, Blue M1J1639SE2DS. About $11.00 per quart.

Bill,
I would direct you to the Vintage Ford Web Site at>Link
But a new site I have found thanks to someone from this discussion forum might be the solution for you. Try this one...
Link
They talk a big game of be the Ford authority.
Or better yet contact Tommy McCullar at... Link If it exists, he'll send it to you... Good Luck
