I have a 1700 ford with a 770 loader. It has been parked for a week with the loader all he way up and now the bucket is about 4 feet from the ground. There are no fluid leaks anywhere so I am assuming that there is something in the pump causing this. Can anyone tell me where the trouble is or should I even worry with it?

Thanks,
Kieth

It's been sitting for a week, and the arms are still up 4 feet? I feel pretty good if they go past 4 hours, and aren't flat on the ground. There is most likely a very small amount of oil by-passing the cylinder center seals. In an ideal world, this wouldn't happen. My experience with most Ford loaders is that they sink rather quickly. Yours sounds like one of the better ones. Take care.
